Cheryl Lythgoe MSc joined Benenden Health in December 2018 following 15 years working in primary care. 

Cheryl is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who has a wealth of experience in diagnosing and managing many health conditions. During her years in Primary Care, Cheryl also managed large multi-disciplinary teams; providing training, education, peer support and clinical guidance. Additionally, she has worked alongside Clinical Commissioning Groups and general practice providers to meet the challenges set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Building on her clinical expertise, Cheryl is undertaking a PhD, the subject of which is exploring staff recruitment in difficult to recruit clinical areas. Cheryl always adopts a positive, collaborative approach to achieve the very highest standards of clinical service provision.

Llinos graduated from the University of Wales, College of Nursing, Cardiff in March 2003 and started her Nursing Career in The University Hospital of Wales, Haematology and Bone marrow transplant Unit as a Staff Nurse.

In 2005, Llinos moved to Oxford to work in the Genitourinary Medicine Department where she worked as a Sexual Health Staff Nurse, gaining qualifications in Contraception and during this time worked as a Sexual Health Advisor. In 2008, she moved back to her home City of Cardiff to work in the Cardiff Sexual Health and HIV services as a Specialist Nurse in HIV.

Llinos has worked for the last 10 years in Primary Care as a Nurse in a GP surgery in York, Specialising in Respiratory care, but also maintaining a special interest in Women’s health and Contraception.

Prior to joining Benenden Llinos was a Nurse manager in a GP surgery based in York, and was also heavily involved in the Covid vaccination roll out programme.
