Key Account Manager (Civil Service)
In support of our Commercial Business Plan and expansion of our Corporate Sales Team, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and energetic Key Account Manager.
This is a home-based role, and you will be responsible for re-energizing the strategy to source, onboard and embed long term strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across the UKs Civil Service, Government Agencies and Public Sector bodies responsible for procurement of Employee benefits; to develop and promote Benenden Health as an organisational benefit and maximise opportunities to generate profitable income for the Society.
Supporting the National Account Manager and working with Benenden Health’s Branch community, you will identify appropriate avenues into the Civil Service and define and instigate an engagement strategy for the identified bodies, to deliver a trusted partnership approach to promote existing lines of business and secure additional lines of business, whilst building on our reputation in the healthcare market and our heritage of supporting the Civil Service.
You will have proven experience of managing Key or National accounts ideally in the Health, Wellbeing or Protection markets, and be effective in using a relationship-based approach to build and entrench co-operative relationships across a broad base of stakeholders on both sides that help ensure the accounts can be retained in the long term.
Being tenacious, resilient and confident, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication and objection handling skills, you will be comfortable in operating in a regulated field sales environment. You will be an effective user of CRM systems to manage the relationships through regular business review meetings and adoption of a proactive account management approach that meets our governance & risk management requirements.
Your training will provide you with an intimate knowledge of our products as well as understanding competitor activity and external environment to ascertain how to change and adapt to ensure Benenden Health products are always at the forefront for consideration.

At or around £45,000 per annum, pro rata, plus Annual Performance Bonus paid annually, measured against retention and growth targets
Car Allowance of £550/month (Valid UK driving licence and appropriate insurance required)
Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although flexibility will be required to meet the needs of our clients
