Making a donation to The Benenden Charitable Trust

Make a one-off donation

You can donate by Debit/Credit card or PayPal using the link to our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) donation page below. If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to complete a Gift Aid declaration to make your donation go even further.

Donate with your mobile phone

You can send a secure donation of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 by text* and make a lasting difference to someone in financial hardship.

Simply text BENE16 and your donation amount (e.g. 'BENE16 £5') to 70070.

*Texts are charged at your mobile phone operator’s standard rate. The charity will receive 100% of your donation. You must be 16 or over and please ask the bill payer's permission. For full terms and conditions and more information, please visit www.justgiving.com/info/terms-of-service

Set up a regular donation

You can donate regularly by Direct Debit using the link to our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) donation page below. If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to complete a Gift Aid declaration to make your donation go even further.

Make regular donations by Direct Debit

If you receive your pay or pension through PAYE you can support Benenden Charitable Trust through Payroll giving, an easy, tax-efficient way to make regular donations. It enables you to donate straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted) giving immediate tax relief on those donations.

  • As a basic rate taxpayer pledging £10 a month, Benenden Charitable Trust receives the full £10 but you only pay £8.
  • If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40%, only £6 would be deducted from your net pay.
  • If you pay tax at the 50% rate, only £5 would be deducted from your net pay.

To set up Payroll Giving all you need to do is complete a payroll giving form, which you can get from your HR or Payroll department. On that form you need to include the Benenden Charitable Trust charity number (1106287) and the amount you’d like to give and return it to your employer. You can give any amount through Payroll giving and if you want to change or stop your donation at any time, all you need to do is inform your payroll department.

If your company isn't yet registered for the scheme, setting up with a payroll giving agency is quick and easy to do. More information for employers can be found on the HMRC website.

Remember us in your will

Charitable legacies are the foundation for many good causes in the UK and are vital in continuing the work they do.  Leaving a gift in your will, no matter how big or small, could help Benenden Charitable Trust give people who are struggling the support they need, long into the future.
