Our organisations

Benenden Healthcare Society

We offer a range of discretionary health and well-being services through our parent company, the Benenden Healthcare Society Limited.

As a mutual, we’re run by our members for our members. Everything we do is totally focussed on our community of nearly 850,000 people and it has been since we started 110 years ago.

Benenden Wellbeing

To help us support the Benenden Community in ways beyond our traditional healthcare offering, we created Benenden Wellbeing Limited. Through this we develop and offer a range of products and services complementing and supporting Benenden membership.

These products are designed to support the needs of members.

Health assessments

Offering a wide range of flexible and excellent value health assessments. Our selection of locations make the experience surprisingly easy, helping to offer peace of mind and letting you take control of your own health.

Independent living aids

Offering access to a specialist range of day to day living aids to help regain and preserve mobility and freedom.

Travel insurance

Whether you’re looking for a single trip policy for your annual holiday or need the flexibility of an annual multi trip insurance, we can provide comprehensive cover for any age and will consider all medical conditions.

Home insurance

We’ve created home insurance cover that’s packed with great benefits, giving you the reassurance you need should the unexpected happen. With features such as; a Personal Project manager for costly claims over £3,000 as standard, and 24/7 Home Emergency Assistance (optional cover). We’re on hand to help when you need us the most.

Benenden Hospital Trust

Benenden Hospital is a subsidiary of the Society and is an independent hospital in Kent with a charitable status enabling us to deliver the principle of providing first-class treatment for a wide range of specialties. The hospital accepts Benenden members, private patients and NHS patients.

Benenden Charitable Trust

If members and non-members of Benenden find themselves in financial difficulty, due to a medical condition, they can apply for help from benenden charitable trust. A registered charity, which is entirely funded by donations.

Keegan and Pennykid

At the end of July 2014, we acquired the Edinburgh-based insurance brokerage Keegan & Pennykid – a successful and well-respected business established more than 40 years ago. This is our first acquisition, and supports our aspiration to extend our offerings beyond those purely related to physical wellbeing.
